We're not a general contractor with a phone list. We're the tradesmen — twenty-plus specialists who come together on your job, or work on their own when that's all it takes.

That means the right people for the work every time: no padding, no hand-offs to strangers, and one point of contact from the first walk-through to the final inspection.

The trades behind every job

Framers, finishers, electricians, engineers — the people who show up on Southern California job sites every morning.

  • Framer driving a nail into a new stud wall against a blue sky
    06Framing

Walls, floors and roof structure — plumb, level and square before anything else goes in.

  • Engineer in a hard hat holding up a sheet of construction drawings
    —Design & plans

Drawings, permits and a scope everyone signs off on before the first cut.

  • Carpenter in a hi-vis vest stacking lumber in front of a historic stone building
    02Restoration

Careful work on older buildings — matching what's there, replacing what has to go.

  • Tradesman in a plaid shirt and yellow hard hat beside an electrical meter
    26Electrical

Panels, circuits, lighting and EV chargers, run by licensed electricians.

  • Three workers moving a concrete form together at a street job
    03Concrete

Foundations, slabs and flatwork — and the crews to place and finish them.

  • Smiling site worker in an orange hard hat walking past dump trucks
    02Site prep

Clearing, grading and demolition so the job starts on solid ground.

How a house comes together

Eight stages, two dozen trades. Scroll to build it — every stage on this drawing is work our network does directly.

  1. 01

    Site prep & demolition

    Demolition, Restoration

We walk the site, mark it out and clear what has to go — carefully, so what stays is protected.

  2. 02

    Concrete & masonry

    Concrete, Masonry

Footings, slabs, block and stone. Everything that follows sits on this.

  3. 03

    Framing

    Framing, Fine Carpentry

Walls, floors and roof trusses go up plumb, level and square.

  4. 04

    Rough-in

    Plumbing, Electrical, HVAC, Fire Sprinklers

Pipes, wiring, ductwork and sprinkler lines run through the open walls, ready for inspection.

  5. 05

    Walls & finishes

Drywall, Stucco, Tile & Stone, Painting

The frame gets its skin — drywall inside, stucco outside, tile and paint to finish.

  6. 06

    Roofing & solar

    Roofing, Solar

A tight roof, and panels on it if you want to make your own power.

  7. 07

    Windows, doors & trim

    Glazing, Millwork, Reglazing

Glass, doors and the finish carpentry you notice every day.

  8. 08

Paths, planting and the spaces you'll actually spend your evenings in.

Eric Givens has been on job sites for forty years.

He came up through the pipe fitters union, ran crews as a foreman, then went independent with his cousin, an electrician. Both built successful companies — and the network behind A-Team Builders grew from there.
